Open up a dated, enclosed bathroom
The original room combined a boxed-in bath, framed shower, floor-standing vanity and small-format tiles. The fixtures filled the available space and the many grout lines made the compact room feel busier than it needed to.
Use the window as the room’s anchor
The new freestanding bath sits cleanly beneath the existing window, preserving natural light while giving the room a more open edge. The floating timber vanity adds useful storage without visually weighing down the floor.
Coordinate fixtures and finishes
Large-format grey tiles create a calmer, more continuous surface across the room. Wall-mounted fittings keep the vanity and bath areas clean, while the warm metallic finish and timber cabinetry soften the neutral palette.
